First officer's log Star Date...oh sorry, Star Trek moment... Moring everyone. I can't believe it's April already. Spring break is here and almost gone. Seniors, only a few weeks to go.

I enjoyed going to the Mattawan musical, "God Spell". I was amazed at the biblical content for a high school play. Congratulations to Zack Meyers, Jake Meyers, Rachel Major, Mary Harrell, and Genna Musial. They alll did a fantastic job.

I look forward to Pastor Eric joining us on staff here at the end of the month. I am looking for some volunteers to help Eric and Leah on their moving day on the 19th late afternoon. If you are available let me know.

We jump back into youth groups this week. We are going to continue our lesson series on healthy friendships, "Loyalty = others + ourselves".
Our scripture for this week is Exodus 1:15-22.

I really enjoyed our Mission Emphasis weekend. It was really good hearing from our missionaries, Attila, Tamara, and Mary. They all did an outstanding job communicating their heart for overseas missions. Our vision is to plant churches globally. We have a tremendous opportunity to fulfill a part of that vision through our missionaries. They need our prayers, constant love and encouragement, financial gifts and personal short term ministry trips to where they are serving.

I'm also excited about the new sermon series we are starting this coming weekend, April 6. It's on spiritual warfare. I Peter 5:8 & 9 says, "Be self-controled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith..." To put it bluntly, Satan is after us. He wants to overthrow and defeat us. Come and learn how we can defeat him by putting on the full armor of God. See you on Sunday.
